Final countdown

This morning I went in for my last prenatal appointment. They did an amniocentesis to check to make sure the babies' lungs were fully developed.  That whole procedure isn't horrible, but it's really not a pleasant thing to go through.  I got stuck a few times because they have to make sure the needle goes in at just the right place to get the fluid to withdraw. The doctor is guided by the sonographer who is finding the pocket of fluid. Then you have to make sure the baby doesn't move cause you don't want to poke the baby with the needle! Well, the little munchin wasn't cooperating at first and kept getting her toes in the way.

I have gained a total of 41 pounds in this pregnancy by 36 weeks.  That's not bad considering I had gained 38 pounds with Lucy by 39 weeks.

So, tomorrow is the big day!
